The Senate has confirmed the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele for a second term in office, to pilot the affairs of the apex Bank.
Recall that Emefiele was on Wednesday screened by the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, an exercise that came after the mandate given by President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, to the committee at the plenary on Tuesday.
Emefiele, who was appointed as CBN Governor on June 2, 2014, is due to end his first term on June 2, 2019, after which he will hold the same position for another five years, following his reappointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
