Abuja-Ahead of the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) computer-based test, the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu has expressed satisfaction with the facilities in some of the examination centres.
Mallam Adamu who spoke to journalists briefly on Friday, after a tour to some of the centres in Abuja, said that he is happy with what he has seen on ground.
According to him, “I am very very happy with what I have seen. I am satisfied, just as the students also are satisfied”.

He further called on the students to maximally utilize the facilities for their examination.
“My message to students is that they should come and use the facilities, here, I hope they are computer literates; if they are, they probably will not need the help of people they will find there” he said.
On his part, the Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede noted that the Board is doing the job it was asked to do by the Minister of Education.
“The Minister asked us to do the job and we are doing it the way he wanted, that’s why he is satisfied” Oloyede said.
The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is a computer-based standardized examination for prospective undergraduates in Nigeria, designed to assess problem solving, critical thinking, knowledge of scientific concepts and principles significance of each subject taken.
