Nigeria’s High Commissioner-Designate to Canada, Professor Isaac F. Adewole, has presented copies of his Letters of Credence to Canada’s Chief of Protocol, Mr. Sébastien Carrière.
Adewole presented the diplomatic documents, known as Copie d’Usage, on Friday, August 21, 2026, as part of the formal process preceding the commencement of his diplomatic duties in Canada.
The presentation marks an important step in the accreditation process and underscores Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening its diplomatic relations and bilateral cooperation with Canada.
Professor Adewole, a former Minister of Health and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, is expected to assume his responsibilities as Nigeria’s representative in Canada following the completion of the accreditation process.
