The President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, PhD, has congratulated Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the global Islamic community on the celebration of Eid al-Adha 2026, urging Nigerians to embrace unity, resilience, and inclusive economic growth.

In a statement issued on Tuesday on behalf of the Executive Council and members of the chamber, Obegolu described Eid al-Adha as a season that embodies the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and shared responsibility, which he said are essential for sustainable economic growth and responsible leadership.

According to him, the occasion presents an opportunity for Nigerians to strengthen social harmony, support vulnerable communities, and renew hope in the country’s economic future.

The ACCI president commended Nigerian entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners for their resilience amid prevailing economic challenges, noting that their determination continues to sustain commerce and productivity across the country.

He particularly praised Muslim entrepreneurs and professionals for their contributions to national development through investments, innovation, and enterprise, which he said have helped create jobs and stimulate economic activities.

Obegolu stressed the need for the private sector to uphold integrity, inclusion, and long-term value creation, especially during difficult economic periods.

He noted that businesses that prioritise ethical leadership, community impact, and collaboration would remain vital drivers of stability and national development.

The ACCI president also reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to advocating policies that support businesses, strengthen public-private sector collaboration, empower small and medium-sized enterprises, and improve Nigeria’s investment climate.

He further urged Nigerians to use the Eid celebration to promote peace, mutual respect, and generosity towards one another, expressing optimism that collective sacrifice, unity, and productive enterprise would help Nigeria achieve greater economic prosperity and social progress.

Obegolu wished Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration.
