The National Sports Commission (NSC) has scheduled a strategic engagement with the leadership and stakeholders of the Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation as part of efforts to strengthen the growth and administration of the sport in the country.
According to a letter issued by the Commission’s Federations and Elite Athletes Department, the meeting with the Director General of the NSC will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Media Centre of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The invitation was addressed to the President of the Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation and extended to board members as well as other key stakeholders in the federation.
The Commission stated that discussions at the meeting will centre on the development and administration of Mixed Martial Arts in Nigeria, in addition to other matters aimed at enhancing the sport’s progress and institutional framework.
The NSC also stressed the importance of the meeting, noting that active participation by stakeholders is vital to ongoing efforts to reposition sports development and improve the management of federations across the country.
