A goal by Vini Jr. in the second half decided an evenly matched final, with Courtois coming to his side’s rescue and the travelling Madrid fans driving their side on at the Stade de France.
Vinicius Jr’s goal completed the most remarkable of seasons, leading Real Madrid to win the 14th Champions League.
The final whistle was greeted with wild celebrations on the pitch and in the stands.
