The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reinforced its Central Admissions Processing System(CAPS) Mobile app, to enable candidates access the System for all their admission-related issues in the comfort of their homes without visiting any CBT centre or cybercafe.

All they will need to do would be to simply download the JAMB CAPS Mobile App onto their phones.

The Sight News gathered that this development which was contained in the JAMB weekly newsletter, is coming in the wake of some institutions which are about to round off their admissions processes.

According to the Weekly JAMBulletin, “Consequently, candidates who are still expecting 2019 admissions from such institutions need not visit any CBT centre or cybercafe to check their admissions status for necessary action.

“Candidates are to login to the JAMB CAPS Mobile with the phone number they had used for the UTME registration. After login, the candidate will then key in his Registration Number and click on ENTER to get started.

“A verification process would be carried out on the provided information and if successful, an OTP code would be sent to the provided mobile number. The candidate is to enter the OTP code and click on VERIFY to complete the verification exercise.

“Upon the completion of verification, the candidate would be taken to the requisite admission page which has his/her admissions information to: accept or reject the admissions offer, accept or reject transfer consideration by institutions if any, as well as accept or reject market place consideration by institutions. In addition, the candidate will also see his/her O’level results and other bio-data.

“If candidates accept their offers of admission, they are to proceed to register online for the requisite academic session in their institutions of choice”, JAMB said.

The Board advised Candidates to take advantage of the Mobile App to check their admission status, adding that JAMB staff are working from home to ensure that the public is adequately served and all processes active.
