Abuja-As the Advertising Practitioners’ Association Abuja Chapter(APAAC) holds it maiden Advertising Exhibition, the Chairman of the Chapter, Sam Agbi-Ojie has disclosed that APAAC is out to create a standard that can favourably compete with others in the world through its exhibition.
Speaking on Tuesday in Abuja at the Exhibition, the Chairman noted that with today’s economy being knowledge-driven, the exhibition will serve as a platform for professionals in the Advertising industry in Abuja and the North central to meet and celebrate their shared achievements.

According to him, “The exhibition is the first of its kind in Abuja, therefore it is our dream to develop it to an extent that could become a reference point in the industry, capable of competing favourably with similar platforms in other countries.
“The exhibition will increase people’s knowledge, understanding, involvement and participation in the activities of the industry.
“It will also provide opportunity for interaction, rethinking and profound insight into the current trends in advertising, expose our products and services to our audience as well as showcase the Federal Capital as a potential community for the vibrancy of the advertising business” he said.
He further noted that there is no product that doesn’t require the services of an advertiser,adding that what is produced must be sold to add value to the economy and national development.
In his goodwill message, Senator Solomon Ewuga stressed that going into advertising requires someone that has the heart, interest, creative spirit and the strength of character.
He reiterated that the industry is growing fast and so those that want to go into advertising must learn what the digital age is about, adding that the social media has a wide range of opportunities.

while commending the presence of the youth especially the members of the National Youth Service Corps at the event, he emphasized that a project that does not involve the youth is already dead.
The Senator however expressed believe that the attendance will be stronger and better focused in the subsequent editions of the exhibition.
The list of exhibitors includes: Independent Television, Hot Fm, Daar Communication, Vision FM, Central Bank of Nigeria, Yaliam Press Limited, New Crystal Communication Ltd.
Others are A.A Willinks Ltd, Fibre Face Communications Ltd, Rhythm and STV, Bohomedia limited, Blissful Bridal, Star Times, NIPOST, Rocky Diamond, Jaiz Takaful Insurance and Abuja International Housing Show.
