Abuja-The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) have been described as the busiest arm of the Nigerian government in recent years, with Missions and Operations scattered both within and outside the country.
During his monthly press briefing in Abuja, the Director Defence Information (DDI), Major General John Enenche furnished newsmen with the various Operations and Exercises under the Defence Headquarters being sustained across the the nation and on foreign soil.
Enenche disclosed the rotation of troops of Operation Restore Democracy in the Gambia in order to sustain the momentum and also boost the morale of the troops.
He stated that the Contingent earned the operational medal of honour for their outstanding performance in keeping peace and maintaining order.
The DDI reiterated the unalloyed support and total loyalty of the AFN to the Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the armed forces of Nigeria for his visionary leadership across board.
He said that the Operations and Exercises of the Military in the North East (NE), North West (NW), North Central (NC), South West (SW), South South (SS), and South East (SE) will be sustained while maintaining that the Military is dedicated to the protection of lives and property of all peace loving people wherever they live in Nigeria.
He therefore urged the general public to always furnish the security agencies with information on suspicious activities of individuals, groups or organizations that is contrary to Nigeria’s national security.
