Says Fayose Lacks Sense of Cultural Upbringing

Abuja-The All Progressives Congress, APC, Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun has lambasted the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, describing him as one who has lost his sense of cultural upbringing.
Chief Oyegun who spoke to newsmen at the party’s national Secretariat in Abuja, Thursday, after the presentation of the APC constitutional amendment by the party’s constitutional amendment committee, on the visit of the APC leadership to the President in London, said it is a waste of time to comment on any thing the Ekiti state Governor says.
According to him; “Believe me, I hate to comment on anything the Governor of Ekiti State says because when people have taken leave of common decency, our basic cultural upbringing. When people cease to have respect for elders and cease to have respect for the fact that an elder statesman who is also President of this nation is going through a health challenge and seek to make fun of it, and seek to say things that are so totally unbecoming, it is really not worth commenting on.
“But I am glad that as at yesterday (Wednesday) even Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors went there and they were very excited at the pace of recovery of Mr. President. I hope that finally, even for the most hardened of political adversaries that common sense and common decency will finally prevail” he added.
The APC Chairman confirmed that the President is convalescing strongly as he said that, “Right now all he is doing is having much rest as he can, to build up energy, to build up the stamina. In that effect, the worst is certainly over. Mr President is going to come back and face the responsibilities for which the people of this country elected him”.
Speaking further on when Nigerians should expect the President’s return, he said only the President can speak to that, “But I’m glad he is having a lot of rest and I wish it was possible not to take a longer time not to get ready but I’m glad he is beautifully making progress with his recovery”.
Oyegun who further spoke on when the party’s National Congress will take place to give way for the presentation of the constitutional amendment to party members, stated that “Whenever the congress holds we will present the amendment of the constitution to party members. And you will be duly informed about the date”.
It would be recalled that some All Progressive Congress(APC) party leaders on Sunday visited President Muhammadu Buhari in London where they retuned to tell Nigerians that the President is recovering fast.
