The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Alausa, has maintained that the entry age of candidates for admission into tertiary institutions is 16 years.
Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday during the 2025 policy meeting on admissions into tertiary institutions, Dr. Alausa urged all institutions to adhere to the directive.
The minister also charged institutions not to give admission to any candidate outside the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) stressing that admission granted outside CAPS is illegal.
He said institutions that defile this order will be sanctioned.
