The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), has informed the public that power supply has been restored through Kukwaba 132kV Transmission Substation at 4:16pm of Thursday, October 15, 2026.

The outage had occurred at 12:24am on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, following the tripping of 33kV feeder L36. However, restoration was delayed due to a faulty line circuit breaker.

The Company noted that to restore power supply to the affected areas, the feeder L36 was successfully tied to feeder L34, enabling the restoration of bulk electricity supply to the connected Abuja Electricity Distribution (AEDC) load centres.

Consequently, bulk power is now available for AEDC to offtake to affected customers in Daba Estate, Police Barracks, Kuchigoro Community, Veritas Plastic Company, Idu, Paipe Village, Hala Rice Company, Rico Godo Feed Max Company, Chessboard Estate, and Chinese Stone in the Saburi area.

TCN management appreciated the patience and understanding of the affected customers during the period of the outage.
