The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system enabling candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results directly from their examination bodies, beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), without visiting a CBT centre.
Under the new arrangement, JAMB’s eFacility platform now integrates directly with examination bodies, allowing results to be verified against official records before being uploaded to a candidate’s profile — all from the comfort of their home.
The Board described the initiative as part of its renewed commitment to faster, safer and more convenient service delivery, using technology to eliminate unnecessary visits, long queues and manual processing.
The new system directly addresses recurring problems with manual O’Level uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, submission of unverified or fraudulent certificates, and errors in manually entered subjects and grades. By verifying results electronically at the source, JAMB says it can guarantee the authenticity and accuracy of every result uploaded to a candidate’s profile.
Under the new arrangement, candidates are required to first verify their results by visiting buyresultsverificationcode.ng. “Candidates are to enter their National Identification Number (NIN) and click on ‘Verify NIN’, after which they will select the number of sittings and the appropriate examination body or bodies before proceeding with payment using a debit card or bank transfer.
Following successful payment, candidates are required to provide their examination number, examination series and examination year to verify their results and obtain a Verification Code.
At the second stage, candidates are to send “VERIFY (Verification Code}” to 55019 or 66019, after which the verified result will be uploaded and a notification sent to the candidate.
Candidates with two sittings will subsequently be required to log into their JAMB e-facility profile and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload” on their dashboard.
They will then enter their Verification Code, after which their two verified results will be displayed. Candidates are required to select the relevant subjects, with a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects, ensuring that no subject is selected more than once.
The process is completed by clicking “Apply the O’Level Results”, following which a notification confirming successful submission will be sent to the candidate.
JAMB said the verification service would provide candidates with a convenient alternative to the traditional manual upload process, especially at a time when CBT centres experience increased patronage and network-related challenges.
