The leadership of the National Sports Commission (NSC) on Thursday joined other top Nigerian sports officials to support Team Nigeria at the ongoing 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
NSC Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and Director-General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, were at Scotstoun Stadium to watch Team Nigeria compete in the 400m mixed relay and long jump events.
Also present were the Director-General of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Hon. Philip Shuaibu, and the Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Chief Solomon Ogba.
The presence of the senior sports administrators underscored Nigeria’s commitment to motivating its athletes as they continue their quest for medals at the Games.
Team Nigeria has remained one of the standout African teams at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, with athletes competing across multiple events in pursuit of podium finishes.
