Organizers of the 2026 Enugu City International Marathon have announced a five-day Marathon Expo, Brand Showcase and Kits Collection exercise ahead of the second edition of the international road race scheduled for August 29.
The event, organized by Nilayo Sports Management Limited, will be held from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, at the Michael Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu, serving as the official countdown to the marathon.
According to the organizers, the Expo will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will bring together registered runners, corporate partners, fitness enthusiasts and exhibitors in an interactive environment that extends beyond the traditional collection of race materials.
Participants are required to present their registration confirmation email alongside a valid means of identification to collect their race kits.
Nilayo Sports Management said this year’s Expo is designed to transform Michael Okpara Square into an experiential sports village featuring business networking opportunities, retail exhibitions and cultural displays. Visitors will also have access to leading health, wellness and sports apparel brands showcasing their latest products and innovations.
The organizers advised registered runners to complete their registration early and attend the Expo within the first few days to secure preferred singlet sizes and avoid long queues expected closer to the marathon date.
The Enugu City International Marathon is expected to attract elite and amateur athletes from Nigeria and abroad, further strengthening Enugu’s position as a growing destination for international sporting events.
