Nigeria’s Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom of Spain, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has formally presented copies of his Letters of Credence (Copie d’Usage) to the Director-General of Protocol, Chancery and Orders at Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Adrián Martín Couce, in Madrid.
The presentation, which took place on Monday, marks a key diplomatic step before Ambassador Ikpeazu’s formal presentation of his Letters of Credence to the King of Spain, an event that will officially commence his duties as Nigeria’s envoy to the European nation.
The ceremony underscores the strengthening of diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Spain, with both countries expected to deepen cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, security, culture and bilateral engagement.
With the completion of the Copie d’Usage process, Ambassador Ikpeazu is now set to proceed to the next stage of diplomatic accreditation, paving the way for him to officially represent Nigeria and advance the country’s foreign policy objectives in Spain.
