The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on Tuesday received the National Security Adviser of the United Kingdom, Jonathan Powell, during a high-level meeting focused on strengthening bilateral security cooperation.
The discussions centred on enhancing collaboration between both countries on security matters, with particular emphasis on joint efforts to combat terrorism and address emerging security challenges.
Both sides reaffirmed the importance of sustained cooperation in intelligence sharing, capacity building and coordinated strategies aimed at promoting regional and global security.
The engagement underscored the strong partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, as both nations continue to work together to tackle terrorism and other transnational threats while advancing peace, stability and mutual interests.
The meeting forms part of ongoing diplomatic engagements aimed at deepening strategic relations and fostering closer collaboration in critical areas of national and international security.
