The Public Communications Adviser (PCA) of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence as Muslims across the country celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.

In his Eid-el-Kabir goodwill message to Nigerians, Dr. Benjamin congratulated Muslim faithful and described the festival as a sacred season that symbolizes sacrifice, obedience, love and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

He called on citizens to use the occasion to reflect deeply on the values of compassion, mutual respect and national togetherness, stressing that Nigeria’s diversity should be seen as a divine blessing rather than a source of conflict.

According to him, no individual or group has the moral justification to impose their beliefs, culture or will on others, noting that the nation’s differences in tribe, religion and political affiliation are part of God’s purpose for humanity.

He lamented the growing insecurity and tension across the country, attributing many of the challenges facing the nation to division, intolerance and suspicion among citizens.

He maintained that peace remains the foundation for development and prosperity, warning that hatred and disunity only bring hardship and instability to society.

The JAMB spokesperson further stated that meaningful national progress cannot thrive in an atmosphere of rancour and hostility, urging Nigerians to deliberately promote love, understanding and harmony in their daily interactions.

He also encouraged citizens to use the Eid celebration as an opportunity to pray for the country, its leaders and security agencies, while recommitting themselves to justice, peace and national unity.

“May the Almighty God accept the sacrifices of the faithful, bless homes with peace and grant Nigeria lasting stability, unity and progress”.

He wished Muslims across the country a peaceful and joyous Eid Mubarak celebration.
