The spirit of unity, love, and togetherness took center stage as worshippers of the Missionary Society of Saint Paul (MSP) Residence Chapel, Abuja, gathered in grand style to celebrate the fourth edition of its annual Galilee Day.
The colourful event drew members of the church community alongside friends, families, and well-wishers, all united in an atmosphere brimming with joy, laughter, and warm fellowship.
From the early hours, the venue buzzed with excitement as attendees arrived in high spirits, exchanging pleasantries and reconnecting with one another. As activities gained momentum, the celebration transformed into a vibrant social gathering, marked by engaging interactions, shared moments of happiness, and a renewed sense of belonging.
Beyond the festivities, the Galilee Day celebration served as a platform for strengthening bonds within the church community. Participants took advantage of the relaxed setting to unwind, interact freely, and deepen relationships that extend beyond the confines of regular worship.
Speaking on the importance of the event, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Eugene Terngohol Lugah, MSP, spoke on the deeper meaning of the gathering, describing it as a reflection of the church’s role as a united family.
“This gathering is a reminder that the church is not just a place of worship, but a family where everyone belongs,” he said, urging parishioners to continue fostering love, unity, and mutual support among themselves.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Easter Galilee Day Planning Committee, Dr. Dominic Ifidon, highlighted the steady growth and increasing impact of the celebration over the years.
“This is the fourth edition, and every year we see more people coming together in love and unity. It’s something we look forward to,” he noted, expressing satisfaction with the turnout and level of participation.
Many attendees also shared their excitement, emphasizing the significance of the event in building stronger communal ties.
“Events like this help us connect beyond church services. It strengthens our bond as one family,” some participants remarked.
Now in its fourth year, the MSP Residence Chapel Galilee Day has evolved into a cherished tradition, symbolizing the church’s unwavering commitment to promoting unity, friendship, and a deep sense of belonging among its members—values rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
As the celebration drew to a close, participants departed with renewed joy and strengthened connections, already looking forward to an even bigger and more impactful gathering in the years ahead.
