Conn8 Media Solutions NG, a  media consultancy firm and publishers of Tech and Biz News NG (www.techandbiz.com.ng) and eTimes Africa News, has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to Nigeria’s tech startup ecosystem at the just-concluded CODEFEST HACKATHON 2025.

The event, held at the Design Studio of the prestigious University of Lagos, celebrated organisations and innovators driving meaningful change across the country’s technology landscape. Conn8 Media Solutions NG received the honour for its consistent social impact through media consultancy, strategic communication support, and storytelling services offered to startups and emerging tech ventures.

Speaking after receiving the award, the Founder of Conn8 Media Solutions NG, Anthony Emeka Nwosu, expressed delight at the recognition, describing it as a validation of the company’s years of dedication to amplifying the voices of young innovators. “We appreciate this award and recognition; it is a testament that the community is taking note of our impact in the ecosystem and our strides in ensuring that young creatives and innovators are heard,” he said.

He acknowledged the financial and operational challenges of working with early-stage startups but emphasized that passion and commitment have kept the company grounded. “Though working with this set of IT markets isn’t easy financially or rewarding, it is a passion, and we are happy to grow with many startups,” he added.

Nwosu further highlighted the company’s mission to reshape global perceptions about Nigeria. “In a country where negative news often emerges, we at Conn8 Media Solutions NG are poised to change the narrative,” he stated. “We want the world to know it is not all about killings or wars in Nigeria—we have one of the most vibrant and thriving startup ecosystems. Our corporate space is alive, our youths are innovators and not lazy, and we are here to work with them.”

Conn8 Media Solutions NG continues to assert itself as a key player in Nigeria’s communication and media ecosystem. Operating from Ikeja, Lagos, the firm delivers services ranging from corporate profiling, media briefings, event advisory, partnership and coverage, and digital marketing to social media management and corporate communication concierge services.

With platforms such as eTimes Africa News and Tech & Biz, Conn8 places strong emphasis on balanced reporting and positive storytelling about Nigeria and Africa. The company has forged strategic alliances, including with CODEFEST Hackathon and GITEX Nigeria and Dubai, reinforcing its influence within both local and international tech spheres.

CODEFEST Hackathon, organized by Codefest International, remains one of the country’s most impactful innovation events, bringing together developers, designers, and young talents to create solutions addressing national challenges. The 2025 edition, themed “Build for Nigeria,” featured a seven-day virtual hackathon followed by public voting and expert evaluation. It concluded with a physical Awards and Innovation Expo at the University of Lagos.

The event, which aims to set a Guinness World Record for participation, continues to serve as a catalyst for youth empowerment, mentorship, and the development of technology solutions capable of transforming sectors such as health, education, agriculture, fintech, and climate resilience.

With its recognition at CODEFEST 2025, Conn8 Media Solutions NG reaffirms its commitment to elevating the voices of Nigerian innovators and strengthening the visibility of the country’s growing startup ecosystem.
