The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed is attending the 4th Inter-Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, with the theme: ‘Commit to Life’.
The global conference is being held from 18-20 February, 20205, at Marrakech, Morocco a statement by ACM Olusegun Ogungbemide, Assistant Corps Marshal Corps Public Education Officer noted.
The state noted that, “As part of the Conference activities for day one, the Corps Marshal participated at the World Bank organized meeting of the Global Heads of Road Safety Agencies across the World.He also attended the opening meeting of the African Ministers of Transport.
“The Corps Marshal thereafter witnessed the signing of an MoU between the International Road Assessment Program (iRAP) and West African Road Safety Organization (WARSO) for improving the safety ratings of West African roads.”
The President of the Court of Appeal, Hon Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, a strong advocate for road safety, through her road safety NGO, KwapDa’as Road Safety Demand (KRSD), is also attending the epoch making event that drew several thousands of delegates across the world.
