ABUJA:The member-elect of the House of Representatives, representing Onitsha North/ Onitsha South Constituency, Hon. Emeka Idu Godwin Obiajulu, has promised to ensure that People With Disabilities, PWDs in his Constituency will not suffer.
He made this known to The Sight News on Wednesday after receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for winning the House of Representatives elections held on February 25, 2023.
Obiajulu, who won his seat under the Labour Party, said he has good plans for PWDs, and will make sure that they are helped in every way possible.
According to him, “I would have been disabled myself, so I have a very good plan for People With Disabilities. I will make sure that they do not suffer. I will make sure that they are helped and that they get whatever they need without feeling that they are disabled”, he said.

Furthermore, he explained that he had made a lot of promises to his people before they voted him to power, adding that he will try to do what he has promised in his manifesto with respect to the Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency.
He listed some of the promises to include: lawmaking, bringing the dividends of democracy, attracting federal jobs, roads and taking care of the widows, less privileged, giving scholarship schemes, and others.
He stated that he did most of them when he was in the House of Assembly and will do more now he is in the Federal House of Representatives.
