It was a beautiful Saturday morning filled with anticipation and expectation from guests who came from far and wide to grace the wedding ceremony of Gift Olivia, the Publisher of The Sight News and her beau of eight years, Chikaobi Daniels.

Ms. Olivia Samuel, who in a span of few hours was transformed from a Ms. to Mrs, successfully made her way down the aisle to meet her husband, Mr Daniel, on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

They both looked so happy, especially Daniel who danced throughout the wedding non-stop. For Olivia, she was so calm and relaxed and they both beamed as they said their vows with no interruptions from guests.

The wedding which took place on a leap day, at the Grand Pela Hotel Abuja amidst tight security, was graced by top dignitaries, media personalities and a host of other guests.

In attendance was the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador. Shameen Ahsan who graced and witnessed the cutting of the cake.

While Speaking at the event, Mr. Ahsan wished the couple a blissful married life as he prayed for sustained peace, love and happiness, adding that the union was the first wedding he has attended in Nigeria for almost two years of his stay.

Speaking in an interview with The Sight News, the groom’s mother Evangelist. Mrs. Felicia Daniel Idenyi, stated that she was excited when Kaobi first approached her with his plan to marry Olivia, noting that she simply said to herself, “My son is now a grown man and he is back home”.

According to her, “Chikaobi was born into a family of seven. He is such a dramatic and exciting son to be with.  God saw my heart and gave him a very calm and intelligent wife in the person of Olivia as that has been my wish for him”.

Despite the mixed feelings in the family over the demise of her husband lately, she said she is most grateful to Almighty God for making the union a reality. “I am very happy for my son and his wife, I don’t know how to thank my God for making today and this wedding a reality in our family”.

She further prayed for unity, understanding, love and most importantly for God to be the centre of their home as they journey through the course of the marriage, adding that they will not lack the fruit of the womb.

Also speaking, the Mother of the Bride, Mrs. Florence Uloma Nkaulo, noted that she was grateful to God for the family her daughter was going into as a wife.

In her words, “I am very happy for my daughter Olivia and her husband.  She is my sixth child and is also marrying a sixth child. She has always been a happy child, and I pray they enjoy a good home filled with love and understanding”, she ended.

The beautiful bride

For her part, the Proprietress, Cedarwood Academy for Girls, (CAG) Barrister Mrs. Olivia Nwosu who is also the boss to the groom, prayed for the success of the wedding, and admonished them to stay focused as a team, as they deal with issues going forward.

“I would want to use the opportunity to advise the couple that in marriage, there are no SINGULAR WINNER, rather, they should strive to come up with an alternative that will be the best for them as a couple in all situations. I wish them a happy married life”, she remarked.

The Ceremony had everything to do with two people who are totally into each other and want to have a great, big happy celebration and happy home afterwards. It was absolutely simple and classy in its own way.

I wish the couple a happy married life!
