It was an emotional gathering at the International Conference Center, ICC, Abuja on Friday evening, as Nigerians came out en mass to bid Late Mrs. Nnedinma Elizabeth Odedo, Deputy Director (DD), office of the Accountant General of the Federation, farewell as Service of Songs was held in her honour.

The well attended Service of Songs had in attendance Nigerians from all walks of life and foreign dignitaries, who eulogized the deceased, saying that she lived a life well spent, full of service to God and humanity.

Late Mrs Nnedinma Elizabeth Odedo who was born August 10, 1962 in Kano State, Nigeria; got married to the National President, Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International-Nigeria, Arc. Ifeanyi Odedo  in 1988, as her professional career in the Federal Civil service commenced in April 1990.

In his goodwill message, Nigeria’s Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, enthused that Late Mrs. Odedo was a woman with a gentle soul, who grabbed every opportunity she gets to reach out to the needy, comfort them and bring them to the knowledge of Christ.

According to him, “Those who are privileged to have made her acquaintance will indeed testify to her warmth, care and love for humanity of which I am one.

“She was very committed to the work of God and exceedingly passionate about spreading the Gospel, and consistently a voice of encouragement to everyone around her,” he added.

Also giving a goodwill message, the National President of Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International, FGBMFI – Ghana, Mr George Prah, posited that Late Mrs. Odedo would be sorely missed, adding that she was a positive supporting partner to her husband, and a vicious hostess who ensured that visitors from other nations were warmly welcomed whenever they visited Nigeria for FGBMFI’s functions.

Speaking earlier in his speech, the President, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Olasupo Ayokunle, likened the life of the Late Mrs. Odedo to that of Tabitha (Dorcas), who he described as an ardent follower and disciple of Jesus Christ.

For his part, the husband of the departed, and National President, FGBMFI-Nigeria, Arc. Ifeanyi Odedo, noted that he is comforted, as he is sure that his wife, Late Mrs. Nnedinma Odedo is resting in the bosom of Abraham at the right hand of God.

In his words, “When God wants to bless His servants in ministry, He gives him a priceless jewel in the form of a quintessential help meet as a wife and that’s exactly who you are to me.

“She was a woman of impeccable integrity with a burning zeal for God’s house whose salvation cannot be questioned throughout her lifetime on this earth,” he remarked.

While praying for the entire Odedo family, the General Overseer, All Christians Fellowship Mission, Rev (Dr) William Okoye, asked God to continue to overwhelm them with His Grace and give them the strength to fill the void that their mother’s demise has created.

Dignitaries who graced the occasion include; the former head of state, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (Rtd), the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former SGF, Sen Anyim Pius Anyim, Fmr Governor of Edo state, Prof. Osunbo, Fmr Head of Service, Dr Steve Oronsaye, amongst other dignitaries and men of God.

Late Mrs Nnedinma Elizabeth Odedo who is survived by her husband Arc. Ifeanyi Odedo, President of FGBMFI-Nigeria, three children, foster children, brothers, a sister, and numerous in-laws; will be buried on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Arc. Ifeanyi Odedo’s compound at Umunegbu, Nnobi, Anambra state – Nigeria.
