President Muhammadu Buhari and the Police Council after a closed-door meeting, confirmed Mohammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police, in the State House, Abuja.
The meeting had all the 36 governors and chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Musliu Smith in attendance.
Adamu, will now serve as the new Inspector General of Police after taking over from Ibrahim Idris.
