Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state has bagged an award of Excellence from a faith-based organisation, “Nigeria Prayer Network”, affiliated to ASO rock Abuja, for an outstanding performance in good governance.
Presenting the award to governor David Umahi, the President of the Prayer Network Bishop John Obazz,said his organisation was moved to present the award after the evaluation of the infrastructural development brought about by Governor David Umahi’s administration in the state.
He described governor Umahi as an outstanding governor in Nigeria.
His words, ”This award is in honour of His Excellency, Engr. David Umahi, the Executive governor of Ebonyi state, in recognition of your contribution to humanity and your contribution to some major projects.Example; Good road Network, Overhead bridges, schools and hospital support.
“In view of all these points, I have raised, we the ”Nigeria Prayer Network”, want to present the award to His Excellency. You may wonder about this thing he has done, if you come to Ebonyi state, you see it on ground”.
Umahi, while receiving the award, thanked the faith-based organisation for considering him worthy for the prestigious award.
Governor Umahi who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Government House Abakaliki, Dr.Offor Okorie, assured that his administration will continue to do the state and humanity proud, even in his second tenure, as he is an instrument in God’s hand.
It will be recalled that Governor Umahi had earlier received so many awards from different groups and organisations in the country and beyond, including a renowned Newspaper publishing company, “The publisher of New Telegraph”.
