Abakaliki-Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, has effected a minor cabinet reshuffle with some key Ministries split into two, while some were either replaced with new Ministries or totally abolished.
In a statement, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor,Sir Emmanuel Uzor,those affected, include; Mr Sunday Inyima, who moves from ministry of Border, Peace and Conflict Resolution, now abolished, to ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
Prof. John Eke, moves from ministry of lands, Housing and Survey, which has been split into two, to the new ministry of lands and Survey.
Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, SSA on internal security whose office has been abolished, was promoted to commissioner and moved to head the new ministry of Internal security and border peace, after his screening and possible confirmation by the state House of Assembly.
This new ministry according to the statement by Uzor, is to be supervised by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Kelechi Igwe.
The release,further directed that all handing and taking over processes must be completed not later than,Monday, the 14th day of January, 2019.
