President Muhammadu Buhari as well as over a dozen state governor’s were in attendance on Saturday as Fatima Ganduje and Idris Ajimobi, both children of Kano and Oyo state governors respectively, tied the knot in grand style.
The wedding fatiha which held at the Kano Central Mosque,adjacent to the Emir of Kano’s palace and lasted for just 15 minutes was officiated by the Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi ll.
Apart from the parents of the bride and groom, Abdullahi Ganjude and Abiola Ajimobi, other governors such as, Borno-Kashim Shettima; Lagos state-Akinwumi Ambode; Imo-Rochas Okorocha; Kogi-Yahaya Bello; Zamfara-Abdul Aziz Yari; Plateau-Simon Lalung; Kaduna-Nasir El Rufai; Osun- Rauf Aregbesola; Bauchi-Mohammed Abubakar; Ogun-Ibikunle Amosun; Jigawa-Badaru Abubakar and Kebbi-Abubakar Bagudu were in attendance.

Also, Senate President Bukola Saraki, the All Progressive Congress(APC) National leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, top government officials, technocrats, diplomats representing different groups such as; Secretary to the Government of the Federation,Boss Mustapha, Minister of Interior,Lt Gen.Abdulrahman Dambazau, Chief of Staff to the President,Abba Kyari, ,Rtd,Chairman of Dangote Group,Aliko Dangote and many more dignitaries also graced the occasion.
The Vice President’s wife, Oludolapo Osinbajo touched down in Kano on Friday in company of 15 state governors’ wives.
