Abia-In the spirit of the season which is a time to show love and share with the needy, Isreal Ibeleme Foundation has reached out to several widows and less privileged in Ikwuano, Local Government Area in Abia State.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Foundation, Mr. Isreal Ibeleme said that the aim of the outreach was to impart the lives of widows especially those that don’t have at all.
According to him, “my mission is to impart meaning to the lives of our people and to especially help the poor. This is our eleventh year in this project, and we have continued to improve on it ever since we started doing this program. We are here today at Isi-Ala Oboro, Ikwuano Local Government Area Headquarters, Abia State and we will also visit other States across the country by God’s grace”.
While noting that Christmas is a season of love, he called on the church to show love to their members, look out for those that don’t have and help them build their faith in God, adding that he loves to give because he knows what it’s like to be poor.
“I am not giving because I have, I am doing this to redeem the promise I made to God, I discovered that the work am doing now is not only for me and my family, it’s for you all. Let’s build a strong relationship in God through giving.
“Today I will appreciate 100 Pastors with packet Shirt, 100 widows with wrapper and Christmas package, and 500 widows and less privileged will receive Christmas package.
“To the Pastors, it’s my privilege to stand before you and to give you what comes from my heart. Pastors pray for unity and make sure members of their churches hear the Word of God. Just imagine if that was not possible, but let me also use this opportunity to advice the men of God to live by example, act like the ambassador of Christ because you’re a mirror to so many and a role model” Ibeleme noted.
He disclosed that against the odds, Israel Ibeleme Foundation, will continue to strive to assist people in need, to give them a better life and build back their hopes, adding that with God on their side they will do more.
Ibeleme further appealed to all well-meaning Nigerians to touch a life this season, “It’s time to be your brothers’ keeper; let’s work together as one Nation, live together and build a stronger society in Nigeria” and as well urged them to pray for the unity of the country as well as those in authorities.
Israel Ibeleme Foundation was founded 11years ago in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. It started by engaging elderly women and men – providing them with food and Water daily. The next step was visits to charity homes in Port Harcourt. They also ventured into educating the youth; providing everything they needed for gaining admission and upwards. They presently have scholars in different levels from secondary to higher institutions.
