Abuja-Former Minority Whip in the 5th Senate and a former Presidential Adviser on National Assembly Matters to late President Umaru Yar’adua, Senator Mohammed Abba Aji has joined the African Democratic Congress(ADC)

Abba- Aji who was speaking on Thursday at the NAtional Executive Council Meeting of the Party, expressed hopes to be a political candidate come 2019.

He however took a swipe at the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, saying that, “most people who voted APC just did because of Buhari, APC minus Buhari is no party. The party has failed on its own”.

Emphasizing that a sustainable political system should be built on institution and not personality, he added that
The mission of ADC is quite superior to APC and PDP as size is nothing

“ADC is different and by 2017 ending, ADC will become either the highest or the second highest of membership in Borno state. ADC will form the government in 2019 and I promise to give highest shot because in politics the efforts put in is important” he said.

In his speech, the ADC National Chairman Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu said that the abuses experienced today by Nigerians should be traced to abuse and wrong use of power in a democracy, adding that flagrant abuse of power is destructive.

While noting that Nigeria cannot continue in a vagabond course, he stated that the ADC has been elected to do the hardwork of building sustainable democratic structures.

According to him, “The so called leaders see our country through a very narrow lens. In our party ADC, we see Nigeria through a macro-prism. Nigeria needs patriot and leaders who see the continental and transitional opportunities inherent within our space.

” We are determined to rebrand our party and show the dedicated effort and the missionary zeal required to build a new Nigeria nation that can manage its challenges in a space full of opportunities “.

He emphasized that the African Democratic Congress, ADC will organise it’s people using available technologies and tools combined with its knowledge of native and indigenous framework to create a system that can sustain Nigeria’s democracy.
