Lokoja-It is a dire situation at the Abuja – Lokoja express way where there has been a heavy gridlock just before the confluence bridge.
Eyewitness report recounts that the gridlock occurred at 1:AM on Wednesday morning , as a result of a scuffle between some law enforcement officers and truck driver, which resulted in the death of one of the truck driver, and caused other drivers to block the highway.
Another eyewitness, Mr. John said the disagreements was between truck drivers and petroleum tank drivers.
Lokoja town has been on standstill from the early hours of the day with little help from any of the law and traffic enforcement agencies.
Passengers traveling to Lagos and other parts of the country who were caught up in the gridlock have been forcefully delayed for hours
