Following the incessant banditry in Zamfara state, governor, Bello Matawalle has disclosed the sack of the Emir of Maru, Abubakar Cika for aiding and abetting bandits in the state.

Dr. Matawalle made this known in a short tweet on his Twitter handle @Bellomatawalle1 on Saturday.

He further disclosed that Cika will be prosecuted with the district head of Kanoma, Ahmed Kanoma.

According to him, “We have sacked the Emir of Maru, Abubakar Cika for aiding and abetting bandits in the state.

“It’s a shame that leaders who are supposed to protect their communities are the front-runners of its destruction”, he said.
