The general manager of Plateau United football club of Jos, Pius Henwan has been appointed as a director in the board of the League Management Company, LMC
Henwan is to represent the North Central geopolitical zone in the board of the LMC, organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.
The general manager’s appointment was part of activities lined up for the Annual General Meeting, AGM of the Club Owners Association which took place in Portharcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The hardworking general manager burst into limelight two years ago when he surprised bookmakers to take Plateau United away from relegation from the topflight against all odds before winning the NPFL title last year for the first time in the club’s 42 year history.
This extraordinary feat, attracted a lot of accolades to him including the prestigious ‘Who is Who’ award which is reserved for achievers in different fields of human endeavours.
The Shendam born football administrator whose team is third on the league table is also eyeing another league shield at the end of the season as Plateau United are third on the league table.
