Abuja: A former President, Nigeria Institute of Architects, NIA, Jimoh Faworaja, has stressed the need to honour deserving indigenous real estate developers, in order to promote growth in the country’s building sector.
He said this in Abuja, against the backdrop of awards conferred on Cosgrove Investment Limited and its Chief Executive Officer, Umar Abdullahi, at an event organised by the Nigeria Institute of Architects; for Excellence in Smart Cities Development in Nigeria.
Faworaja pointed out that Cosgrove’s ability to leverage on the use of innovative technology to tackle the challenges in the ever evolving building and construction sector earned it the recognition.
While receiving the awards, Cosgrove Chief Executive Officer, represented by the company’s Head of Marketing, Chioma Ugwu, commended the institute for the recognition, and assured that the company will continue to strengthen its operations in order to sustain its lead in the industry.
He also assured that the company will continue to play crucial roles in automation of both residential and commercial structures in the country.
