The Chairman, Joint session of the National Assembly Committee on Land and Marine Transport, Sen. Danjuma Goje, has charged terminal operators to remit the prescribed Practitioners Operating Fee (POF) to the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), to enable it perform its statutory function.

The Senator made this known Friday during the 2022 Budget Defence of the Ministry of Transportation by the Minister, Hon. Chibike  Rotimi Amaechi, at the National Assembly, Abuja, a statement by Eric Ojiekwe, Director, Press and Public Relations revealed.

Sen. Goje further called on the Minister to engage with the terminal operators to ensure that the POF is remitted as at when due to CRFFN.

While observing that aside from lawmaking, oversight function was the next most important, the Senator noted that the House is ready to apply sanctions if the POF is not complied with, as is the practice in other climes.
