Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki has revealed that he shares a father and son kind of relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Obaseki who recently decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated this on his Twitter handle @GovernorObaseki on Monday, after a Zoom meeting with the President.
According to him, “My relationship with President @MBuhari is that of a father and son.
“I was on a zoom meeting with the President, during which we engaged on development issues affecting Edo people and Nigerians.
“We also discussed measures to manage the spread of #COVID19”, he said.
The Governor who left the All Progressives Congress (APC) after a controversial legal battle, announced that he had officially joined the PDP to advance his ambition to seek re-election as Governor of Edo State.
“I, as always, remain committed to engendering good governance and sustainable development of our dear state”, he said in a tweet.
