The last batch of Team Nigeria to the Tokyo Paralympics games departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport on Saturday morning, via an Ethiopian Airline.
The Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Matsunaga Kazuyoshi was at the airport to receive the team and also bid them farewell.
The Delegation was led by the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Nebolisa Abako. Other notable dignitaries among them were the media aide to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Kọla Daniel Adeyanju, SA Projects Architect Biodun Owoborode, the General Manager of NTA Mr. Fẹmi Johnson, and host of others.
The 2020 Paralympics games will commence on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021.
It will be recalled that in the last edition of the games, Team Nigeria hauled a total of 12 medals. The Team is now hopeful to surpass that feat in Tokyo.
