Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has reportedly resigned her position, according to reports reaching us.
Although, no official statement has been released about her resignation and calls put across to the Ministry has yielded no response.
However, stories are still sketchy over the report, as a tweet by the Nigerian Television Authority(NTA) on one of its twitter handles on the Ministers resignation has been pulled down.
The Authority said it pulled down the tweet as it did not receive any correspondence to that regard.
The Sight News gathered that she resigned over allegations of forging her National Youth Service Corps certificate.
Adeosun was appointed in November 2015, as Minister of Finance under President Muhammadu Buhari.
She has not had it easy with Nigerians ever since the news of the NYSC certificate forgery broke out, as many demanded that she resigns and face the consequences for her actions.
The report of her certificate forgery which first appeared on Premium Times, claimed that the finance minister, did not participate in the one-year mandatory National Youth Service Corps, but forged an Exemption Certificate several years after her graduation.
The certificate, which is dated September 2009, was reportedly signed by an NYSC Director-General, Yusuf Bomoi, who already left the scheme in January 2009.
