The Nigerian Aviation industry has finally kicked off operations, after shutting down for over three months due to the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
The industry kicked off with domestic flights covering just two cities—Abuja and Lagos.
The schedule of flights for Wednesday shows: Arik Flight ARA720, a B738 with registration 5NMJQ, from Lagos to Abuja and was airborne at 06:20 UTC with 78 Passengers on Board and 9 crew members.
Second restart departure flight was Max Air flight NGL1640 a B733 with registration 5NBBM Departure from Lagos to Abuja, Airborne at 09:21 UTC with 55 persons on board and 05 crew.
Ibom Air flight IAN4152, CRJ9, with registration number 5NBWL Lagos to Abuja with 31 Passengers on Board and 5 crew members, Departure 10:30UTC
Air Peace flight APK7120 B737 with registration number 5NBQP From Lagos to Abuja. Departure time was 10:45UTC with 112 Persons on board and 9 crew.
Extra measures were also put in place by the airlines in line with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines.
