Senator Dino Melaye who is currently receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the Trauma Center, National Hospital Abuja has attracted so much attention as security personnel are doing all in their power to ensure that he doesn’t escape from the hospital.
Dino who was reported to have jumped out of a moving police vehicle yesterday when he was being conveyed to Kogi state, was admitted at the Zanklin Hospital in Abuja but was later moved to the National Hospital where he is being monitored closely and security officers have restricted him from receiving visitors.
The Sight News gathered that some doctors at Zankin hospital were whisked out of the hospital by Security Operatives on the suspicion that they may have connived with the senator to feign sickness.
We also gathered that heavily armed and mean looking Security men in their numbers were seen lurking around the premises of the Trauma Center and at the entrance to the intensive care unit preventing visitors from going in to see the state of the Senator.
In the same vein, a delegation from the Nigerian Senate, led by the Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Bala Na’allah were earlier today turned back from seeing Senator Dino Melaye.
The Deputy Senate Leader’s plea to allow them see the actual condition of their ailing colleague fell on deaf ears as the Security operatives insisted they were acting on orders from above.
Deputy Senate Leader was accompanied by the Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Alimikhena Francis and two other senators.
