ABUJA: Nigerians, especially women and children have been advised to observe all the COVID-19 guidelines as issued by the Presidential Task Force (PTF), to avoid contracting the deadly virus.
The advice was given by the Minister of women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen when she resumed official duty after self isolation as a result of her contracting Coronavirus.
In a statement made available to The Sight News on Tuesday, the Director Press, Shehu Maikai, recalled that towards the end of 2020 the Minister was said to be Positive for Coronavirus.
The Minister who noted that she had a battle with Covid-19 and turned out victorious, thanked her numerous supporters and admirers for their prayers.
She emphasized that Coronavirus is real and called on all Nigerians to maintain social distancing, wear their face masks when in public, avoid overcrowding and wash their hands always.
The Minister who remarked that she has now resumed her duty post to continue with the advocacy for the total liberation of Women and Children in Nigeria, called for the support of all development partners to enable the Ministry of Women Affairs achieve its mandate as assigned to it by the government.
“Now, I have put the Covid-19 challenge behind, and will pursue with vigour our advocacy for the inclusion of women concerns in national planning”, the Minister said.
