Contributions To CACOVID Relief Fund Hit N25bn; See Full List

ABUJA: Monetary contributions to the account set up at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under the auspices of the Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) have hit N25 Billion.

A statement issued on behalf of the Coalition by the Director, Corporate Communications, Central Bank of Nigeria, Isaac Okorafor, on Friday, April 17, 2020, listed 107 donors, including individuals, banks and other corporate bodies.

The relief fund as at Friday now has a total of N25, 893,699,791.00, and donations from as high as N2 billion to as low as N1.00.

“The coalition hereby conveys its gratitude to all the institutions and individuals that have generously donated to this fund”, said Okorafor. “We urge others to consider contributing to this national solidarity to provide not only medical equipment and materials but also to render urgently needed palliatives to the poor and vulnerable segments of our society”. 

“We hereby restate our commitment to full disclosure and accountability for all donations made. God bless us all”, he ended.
