The 13th Leadership School set of the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) will commence its lecture on July 6th, 2019.
A total of 74 students (29 Males and 45 Females) from the FCT and other states across Nigeria were admitted.
A statement released by Mr. Vincent Dania, the leadership school official at the Centre, said the programme which runs for one year: July 6th, 2019 – August 8th, 2020, will be heralded by the first module on “What is Leadership” by the founding Executive Director of Centre LSD, Dr. Otive Igbuzor.
The module will introduce participants to the idea of the Leadership School, the concept of Leadership and the skills required for leadership competence; explicate Leadership Framework that can help leaders focus on important priorities; describe the theories and styles of leadership; explicate on the practices and commitments that can help leaders get things done; examine the levels of influence and distinguish between a leader and a person in leadership position.
Class executives – including class governor, deputy class governor, and commissioners – who will be responsible for the smooth running of the class will be elected. The election of the class executives will be supervised by past class governors.
The statement enjoined the incoming students to take advantage of the leadership programme to develop their leadership, communication and networking skills as this will set them apart in all their endeavours.
