Abuja-The Presidency has confirmed the release of some of the Dapchi school girls who were abducted from their school in Yobe state.
A tweet from the Presidency on Wednesday, stated that details about the released Dapchi girls will be made available in due course.
It further said that the girls are now in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS), in Dapchi and the DSS will be briefing the President and the nation in the course of the day.
You would recall that on February 19, 2018, 110 students of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi were abducted from their school in Yobe state.
The Presidential Aide, Garba Shehu has confirmed that the Kidnapped students of Government Girls’ Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe, who have just been released, are being transported home.
Also, the Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed has confirmed the release of 76 of the 110 abducted Dapchi girls, saying that the process for the release of others still ongoing.
