The Director General, Association for Good Governance Network, Amb Hussaini Coomassie, has congratulated the new leadership of the National Assembly led by the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan and his Deputy, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege on their elections.
Amb Coomassie also felicitated with Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and Rt. Hon. Idris Wase on their elections as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, respectively.
In a Press release signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Elem Chukwuemeka, and made available to The Sight News, Commassie noted that with the new leadership in the National Assembly, the executive arm can freely work and deliver good dividend of democracy without hitches.
According to him, “We pray that the disagreement between the Legislative arm and the Executive in the previous administration will not repeat itself. The Saraki-led national assembly was disastrous”, he said.
Amb Coomassie who also doubles as the Deputy National Coordinator, Buhari Campaign Organisation, tasked the three arms of government to work in harmony and ensure that it delivers its promises to Nigerians.
He appealed to Nigerians to believe in the President as he(President Buhari) is set to take the nation to the next level.
The Ambassador applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the successful June 12 democracy day celebration and renaming the National stadium Abuja after Chief M.K O Abiola.
