After the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna rail track, the Board and Management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) have announced that the services on the route will resume tomorrow, Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Recall that the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Amaechi visited the site of the attack, where he assured Nigerians of safety.
In a statement obtained by The Sight News, NRC Management said the train will take off from IDU, Abuja (AK3) at 0950am and from RIGASA, Kaduna (KA4) at 1035am.
The statement read, “The Board and Management of the Nigerian railway corporation (NRC) hereby inform the general public, particularly our valued passengers that Abuja – Kaduna Train Services (AKTS) resume tomorrow, Saturday, 23rd October, 2021 as follows, From, IDU, Abuja (AK3) at 0950am. From RIGASA, Kaduna (KA4) at 1035am.
“Subsequent train services continue. NRC, once again sincerely apologises for the inconvenience”.
Meanwhile, the NRC has also asked customers with unused tickets for the 21st and 22nd October 2021 to contact its customer care unit—customercare@tps.ng and call 01 888 7741 for rescheduling.
It also urged passengers to, “Kindly give 48hrs notice ahead of the new travel date”.
This offer, it said, is open for the next two weeks and will expire on the 6th of November 2021.
