The meeting, convened by the Director, Federal Allocation Department, and Overseeing Director, Administration and Human Resource Department, Mr Ahmed Rufai Gidado, provided an opportunity for the Secretary to engage with staff, listen to their concerns and communicate his expectations for a more efficient workforce.

Adeyanju said his relationship with staff would be anchored on responsibility, discipline and performance, urging employees to uphold competence, integrity and commitment to national service.

“We are professionals, and we must conduct ourselves as professionals. We must put Nigeria first and ensure that the work entrusted to us is done with the seriousness it deserves,” he said.

Adeyanju commended the Chairman of the Commission, Dr Mohammed Bello Shehu, OFR, for his efforts to advance the Commission and urged staff to support the leadership in fulfilling its mandate.

Earlier, Gidado described the meeting as an opportunity for the Secretary to gain first-hand insight into the Commission’s operations and strengthen communication between management and staff.

In his remarks, the Director, Allocation Department, Mr U. K. Umar, mni, commended the Secretary for creating an atmosphere for open engagement, stressing the importance of unity, teamwork and adherence to established processes.
