Nigeria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Israel, Ambassador Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu, has formally assumed her diplomatic duties after presenting her Letters of Credence to Israeli President Isaac Herzog at an official ceremony in Jerusalem.
The presentation of the Letters of Credence on Monday officially marked the commencement of Ambassador Ufochukwu’s assignment as Nigeria’s envoy to Israel and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Speaking after the ceremony, Ambassador Ufochukwu expressed her resolve to deepen cooperation between Nigeria and Israel in line with the country’s foreign policy objectives. She said her mission would focus on expanding collaboration in trade and investment, agriculture, technology, security, innovation and cultural exchanges, while promoting stronger people-to-people relations.
According to the ambassador, enhancing partnerships in these key sectors would create greater opportunities for mutual growth and development for both nations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed confidence that Ambassador Ufochukwu’s appointment would further consolidate the strategic partnership between Nigeria and Israel and open new avenues for enhanced bilateral cooperation and sustainable development.
