The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has invited stakeholders to participate in a public consultation on the potentials, risks and public-interest considerations related to Satellite Direct-to-Device connectivity in Nigeria.
The Commission which made this known on its X account, explained that the public could access the Consultation Paper via the link below: ncc.gov.ng/sites/default/
This Consultation Paper, it said, represents a preliminary stakeholder engagement in line with the Commission’s participatory and transparency-driven regulatory approach, prior to the activation of any formal rule-making process under S.71 of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003.
“Feedback received will inform the Commission’s assessment and guide its decision-making on any regulatory framework on Satellite Direct-to-Device connectivity in Nigeria.
“The full details are contained in the link above, as well as the consultation questions.Responses are to be submitted through the online form provided within the document.
“All submissions should be sent on or before February 23, 2026”, the statement concluded.
