All is now set for a strong partnership between ‘Petrabydesign’ fashion academy and ‘Shecluded’, a fintech credit company with the aim of providing asset finance loans and business finance training for no fewer than 300 fashion designers in Nigeria especially women.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Petrabydesign, Mrs. Osama Maraizu addressing fashion designers in Nigeria in a press release said, “This became necessary as many of our students take classes and find it difficult to practice for lack of an industrial sewing machine or basic sewing tools.”

“To support my community of budding fashion designers, we have partnered to provide you with loans that can help expand your product line, purchase new equipment and market your brand”, she added.

Furthermore, Petra announced that the partnership became necessary to fill the gap by not just providing asset finance loans, but also training programs on managing business finances as many prospective Fashion Entrepreneurs are struggling to stay afloat in business.

For her part, Ifeoma Uddoh, the CEO of Shecluded and a Nigerian social entrepreneur said she was excited with the initiative, and encouraged fashion designers to apply for the asset finance loan by visiting the website, “www.shecluded.com”.

Explaining the online application process, Petra said users should indicate that they are applying from Petra by design, click the link on her Instagram bio, fill the form, after which the application details will be forwarded to Shecluded for recommendation.

According to the Fashion guru, those who qualify will get soft loans which can be paid back over a period of one year.

She stressed the need for dressmakers to take advantage of the opportunity while tagging other dressmakers thereby giving credence to the philosophy that ‘we rise by lifting each other’.

Interestingly, fashion designers are also to benefit from a free online class on business financing sponsored by shecluded throughout the month of April.

Concluding, Petra reiterated the vision of her enterprise which is creating a brighter future for women in the fashion industry.
